Nobody believed it is possible, then nobody believed it could evolve to such a catastrophe, but here we are. And now, on the 5th day of war, after seeing all the horrors of war on the internet we still can't believe it, and can't even imagine what is it to be there.

Pavel Dorogoy — a documentary photographer and filmmaker from Kharkiv — is sharing his view and memories from the first day of invasion he will never forget.

The first. Day. Of War.

The first day of war. Will never forget. I won't forget the sounds of explosions that I've never heard before. I won't forget the faces of the military, simple and calm. I won't forget the faces of people in the subway. The look of the old woman will be with me all my life. But she's already seen it all ((( I won't forget anything! And I don't want to. I don't want to forget these people. And myself like that. How I have never seen myself. Or just didn't notice.

As Liza Pirozhkova said: "The situation is fucked up, but people are fucking great!"
